About Us

DASA was conceived in 2018 by Dr Wani Bosco Fabiano Ayire, while applying for the prestigious Chevening Scholarships to the United Kingdom. After he won the Chevening Scholarship Award and graduated from the prestigious Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine with Masters in International Public Health, He returned back to initiate and operationalize DASA with focus on improving access to primary healthcare, tackling HIV/TB, Malaria, and other communicable diseases , and nutrition while incorporating the screening for non-communicable diseases and prevention and management of neglected tropical diseases(NTDs) through advocacy, strengthening capacity, monitoring, evaluation,  and increasing accountability.

Dr Wani was later joined by a team of four dedicated multidisciplinary professionals to form DASA as a non-governmental organization registered with RRC in South Sudan.  Together with the multidisciplinary team further themes of Food Security and Livelihoods, WASH, and Education were identified for interventions in order to improve health and well-being in the programming of DASA.
